Holiday Launches Part 3…

There are so many offerings this year, they just keep on coming, and we aren’t even out of September yet…

Product: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Quadghost2.jpg

What it is: Blush Palette

Price: USD 58

Availability: Hourglass website

Love/Pass: Love

Why: This limited edition blush quad is stunning, with superior quality. Featuring three new shades, this is the perfect way to add a beautiful pop of color.  The packaging doesn’t look at stunning as prior years but, the product is so beautiful. I live with my Mood Exposure blush close by at all times. Remarkable subtle product.  For those days when my Gerard Cosmetics Starlet Palette would be a little too extra.

Product: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit -Ghost Paletteghost1.jpg

What it is: Bronzer, Blush, Finishing and Highlighting powders

Price: USD 80

Availability: Hourglass website

Love/Pass: LOVE

Why: The packaging is less stunning this year but, that doesn’t detract from the beauty inside the case.  Two blushes, a bronzer, two finishing powders, and a highlight make this a fantastic deal.  If you figure that one blush will retail for CAD 50, then it isn’t hard to see the value contained in this palette.

Product: Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 3norvina3.jpg

What it is: Eyeshadow palette

Price: 79 CAD

Availability: Sephora and Online

Love/Pass: Love

Why: It seems crazy to me that Anastasia Beverly Hills is releasing yet another palette for this collection in as many weeks.  Buyer fatigue will be rampant.  The colors look promising. However, it would be crazy to think that people will continue purchasing products at the same rate as the releases.  The formula is expected to be high quality, featuring lots of pressed pigments.  This is not a beginner palette, and you should be good with color theory if you want to achieve the most out of this.

Product: Urban Decay Naked Honey Palettenaked1.jpg

What it is: Eyeshadow palette

Price: 68 CAD

Availability: Sephora and Online

Love/Pass: Pass

Why: Urban Decay’s latest release to its popular Naked lineup.  This time around they are featuring gold shades along with the standard neutrals.   Although the quality is excellent, this palette feels boring.  Check out Colorpop’s Uh-Huh Honey palette if you are looking for golden shades at a way more affordable price point.

Product: First Aid Beauty Fablantisfab1.jpg

What it is: Limited edition 5 piece gift set, featuring only full-sized products.

Price: 64 CAD

Availability: Sephora and Online

Love/Pass: Love

Why: This is a great deal.  It is rare to find five full-sized products at this price.

Product: Laneige Kiss Me Day and Nightlaneige kiss me

What it is: Lip kit featuring a lip balm and nighttime mask

Price:  24 CAD

Availability: Sephora and Online

Love/Pass: Pass

Why: Great set of products if you are into the brand.  Personally, I would spend the money and get the full-sized treatment over the mini.

Product: Peter Thomas Roth Potent-C Power Trioptr1.jpg

What it is: Limited edition release featuring serum, eye cream, and moisturizer

Price:  98 CAD

Availability: Sephora and Online

Love/Pass: Love

Why: This is a great price to get to sample a higher-end brand, this would be a perfect gift for under the tree.  Featuring Vitamin C as the main ingredient, these offerings promise to brighten and even out the skin and who wouldn’t want that?
