The Sephora Sale

It’s that time of year.  The Summer Sale is on at Sephora.  Time to stock up, restock, and buy all those extra things that you may forgo otherwise.  As a Rouge member, I get 20% off my purchases, and it really affects what I choose to purchase.  I find myself very tempted to stock up on products that are a bit higher-end because of the discount.  This time, I committed to restocking the products that I am out of, almost out of, or have stopped working for me, and I need to switch out.

The spring sale gave birth to purchases totaling over $800.  I did love everything I purchased, but that was a bit excessive.  So, here is a list of what I am getting at this Sephora sale:

Clinique Redness Solutions Cleanser:

Love this cleanser, it is cost-effective at $33 per tube and will last approximately 3 months with twice-daily use.  It won’t dry out your skin, or add any redness.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum:

I have been using this serum for months.  cfirmaI picked it up at the last Sephora sale. It makes my skin feel incredible, although I honestly haven’t noticed any change in the coloration on my skin or any changes in the luminosity or texture.  In truth,  I am not really sure why I am so stuck on the idea of purchasing it.  At $105,  I would think it should do so much more than what it is currently doing. I may need to remove this one from my Sephora basket.

Milk Makeup Kush Lip Balm:

I have it in every shade and reorder it every month.  I am never without one.  At $21.50, it is still a steal of a deal in the land of lip balms.  I love the way it makes my lips feel, and it is a splurge that is very worth it.

Cover FX Blurring Primer:

Has been out of stock for so long, I am pretty sure that it has been discontinued and no one bothered to tell Sephora.  Retailed at Sephora for $50.  If you can find it, hold on to it because I don’t think that it will be returning.

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream:

it1This has been beautifully perfect and easy all summer.  Once my skin got too dark for my Dior Forever (wow was I pale) this CC cream took over my world.  It does it all.  The downside is that it appears oily after a few hours.  I love the dewy look (how time changes us) but, I am not feeling confident that this is going to rock my world in the fall. I have this one in my cart, but I am hesitating on ordering it.  $52 and for the summer has been worth every single penny.
