It has been great to have a week off, and it is exciting to be back to work reviewing products. I have been fortunate enough to be able to enjoy the outdoors and sad to say that I have encountered a small case of skin cancer. On my face.
Now, I know, wear sunscreen. The thing is that it is tough to make sure that every spot gets equal amounts of protection. In my case, the abnormal cells were located on my temple right at the hairline. I probably thought that the hat I was wearing would protect me or that I was sufficiently covered from the SPF that I was wearing. Honestly, there have been many years where I considered sunscreen a waste of time and refused to wear it.
Stop judging me and listen up. I was wrong, totally wrong. Protecting my skin is essential, protecting yours is crucial too. So, be ready and prepared to see lots of information on sunscreens and ways to protect yourself; after all, the protection is less painful than the cure if you wait too long.
