Clinique Pep-Start Daily UV Protector

As a part of our ongoing redesign and update, you will notice several changes occurring in the coming weeks.  Format changes and a difference in the style and type of article.   We have received feedback that has led us 50/50 split between short articles and in-depth pieces.
We look forward to bringing you a variety of different selections that meet both segments of the audience. Please share your continuing feedback so that we can continue to grow and mature as a news site.

Clinique has been around for decades.  Developed with Dermatologists, this brand is famous for having skin-friendly products that won’t make you break out.  I was turned on to the brand thanks to the amazing Dave Lackie of Beauty Departure Magazine, check it out here.

Pros:

  • Skin Friendly
  • Great for all skin types
  • Tinted- no harsh white sunscreen lines
  • Cost-effective
  • SPF 50
  • Fragrance-Free
  • Works well under makeup
  • Nongreasy

Cons:

  • Dimethicone
  • Non-Vegan company
  • Non-Cruelty-Free company

For me, this was a winner.  The little bit of tint worked well with makeup and awesome on no makeup days.  The formula is a bit runny yet, it applies well. Love the high SPF.  The best part is that this sunscreen is only $25 for an ounce at Sephora.  That is actually $5 less than my Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair, and it has 20 higher SPF.  Since I have switched up the products that I use, I started to find the Rapid Tone Repair to be a bit redundant.  This is a great, quick option for the person on the go.  If there is a sale, buy it. The tint is on the yellow side, if you are very fair, you may want to try a sample at Sephora before you buy.  For me, it worked.pep2.jpg
