Available in 29 shades, this foundation retails at Sephora for $68 1oz/30ml of product. This foundation promises to leave your skin bright and refreshed while providing a flawless base suitable for dry skin. I happen to have skin drier than the Sahara desert. It made sense to give it a try.
The bottle is nice if standard in terms of packaging. I didn’t notice any significant smell with the foundation itself. The liquid is a bit on the runny side, but it does apply easily. The downside is in the formulation.
The formula offers buildable coverage that looks amazing when applied to the skin. I would recommend that you savor that moment because it does not last. I have tried this foundation with and without primer, with and without powder. Nothing made it look good, and I hate saying something so harsh about any brand but, seriously WTF? This formula grabbed on to my dry skin and accentuated the texture beyond belief. It started to look patchy in about an hour and had gone entirely from some spots after three hours.
The sweetest thing I can reasonably say about this product is that it might work for you if you have oily skin. Also, be aware if you have a very deep skin tone; this product is probably not going to be in your wheelhouse either. The shades for deeper tones are severely lacking. Sorry YSL, this was a fail for me. Can anyone out there let me know if it worked for them?
