Welcome to the weekend. Spring is here, and it is time to shed some of that unwanted weight, soothe the body and clear the mind. This tea is crisp, warming and amazing all at the same time. This tea is not designed to clean your liver and your coat closet. This is intended to put something good into the body and clear the mind. I found that I lost weight drinking it. I would love to hear everyone else’s experiences with this tea.
- 1 – 2 inch piece of peeled ginger
- 1 – Cinnamon stick or 1/8tsp of powdered product
- 1 tbsp of honey or you could use sugar of your choice to taste
- 1 pinch of Cayenne pepper
- 8 cups of water
- 1 sliced lemon
Combine everything in a pot and heat on the stove until it just comes to a boil. Turn the heat down to a simmer, put a lid on the pot so the tea doesn’t evaporate. Let it simmer together for 5-7 minutes, remove from heat, strain out the ginger, lemon,cinnamon. Enjoy. Modify sugar as needed to suit your taste.
The longer the ginger sits in the tea, the spicier and stronger the flavor is going to be. Start off mild and build up. Have you tried this tea? What was your experience with it?
