Estee Lauder Mattifying Primer

Retailing at Sephora for $45 per 1oz/30ml of product.  I like Estee Lauder, I am a huge fan of the Double Wear Foundation, and I found myself not asking enough questions when the clerk at Sephora recommended that I try this primer.  The packaging is simple, the product itself did not seem to have a scent.  It was creamy and dreamy and applied wonderfully. esteelauderprimer1

This product is not designed for my super dry skin.  Now, I was complaining about my shiny nose so I can understand why the clerk would think that I might have oily skin.  I do not.  This primer sucked every last bit of moisture out of my skin in a way that would make Death Valley jealous.  I would be unable to express adequately how incredibly dry this made my skin.

My pores were accentuated, and texture enhanced.  This is not the fault of the primer.  This product is oil free and boasts Green Tea, Caffeine, and Mulberry extracts.  It glides on the skin and does create a velvet finish.  If you have oily skin, this product may be exactly what you need to pull off the perfect matte look.  If you have dry skin like myself, this product isn’t going to work for you.
