K-Beauty rules the world and one of the hottest Korean brands on the market are Kaja. Often mentioned in the same breath as Etude House, this powerhouse company has taken North America by storm.
From lip stains to concealers they offer a variety of products varying from: need to have it too gimmicky as all get out. Today, we are here to discuss the latter. May I present the Kaja Cheeky Stamp Blendable Blush. Retailing at Sephora for $29, this product is available in four different colors.
Ok, so let me start off by saying that the packaging is a cute little plastic case. The bottom of the case pops open to reveal the blush stamper. The top twists off to reveal the heart shaped sponge stamp. It is admittedly charming. Adorable. You take the sponge stamper, stamp it in the blush stamper and then stamp your cheek. This leaves and sweet little heart on your cheek that you then go in and blend out. So freaking cute. The colors are excellent, they apply well, and they provide a beautiful wash of color.
Conversely, it is also the most gimmicky thing I have seen in a long time. Running neck and neck with the roller highlighter from the same company. Ok, before you start throwing shade in my direction let me explain. The packaging is super cheap plastic, it doesn’t feel like a thirty dollar blush. It feels like a three dollar finds in a bargain bin. The sponge that comes in the beautiful little heart shape, well it isn’t exactly the easiest thing to clean. Short of ripping it out of the lid and it doesn’t want to go back together. So basically, you have a dirty sponge that you are using over and over again. Say it with me, eww.
The product is adorable, if you like the whole presentation, then this may be the product for you. For me, I would rather spend the money on the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Collection in ten different, amazing shades for $48. Available at Sephora.
