Biotherm Blue Therapy Serum in Oil

The title is a mouthful, and at $81 /30ml, bottle size expectations are super high for this product to be a winner.   I purchased a variety of products on sale at the local drugstore, and I have heard many good things about the brand.

The packaging is beautiful as one would expect at that price point.  I love great packaging,  this feels weighty and luxe in a simplistic way.

This serum promises skin rejuvenation with the help of Algae.  It applies easily with a light scent.  I found the oil to be a bit on the heavy side, almost greasy.  That said it did absorb quickly into the skin leaving it soft and smooth.

About a week into the product test my skin started to develop redness and sensitivity, almost as if someone has slapped me repeatedly across the face. My skin was glowy and smooth, I did have to stop the test before I could really see if there was any change in terms of wrinkles and lines.

Even though this product didn’t work for my skin, it doesn’t mean that it won’t work for yours.  I did purchase several products from Biotherm, so stay tuned to see what did and did not work out for me.

As described on the Biotherm website:

Biotherm pioneers a new micro-algae oil, rich in a specific omega 3 fatty acid whose lipid composition so closely matches the skin, it has the capacity to fuse with the skin’s cellular membranes¹ to repair fast, deep, close.

Always at the cutting edge of texture formulation, Biotherm has, for the first time, succeeded in uniting a serum with an oil in one micro-dispersion formula that transforms under the fingers and fuses beautifully into the skin. This non-greasy and non-sticky night care is suitable for all skin types.

Overnight, skin is visibly transformed: re-plumped, velvet-smooth and luminous. After one month, Blue Therapy Serum-in-oil delivers obvious benefits on wrinkles, bounce and radiance²
