Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus Foundation

Retailing at Walmart for $6 – 1 fl/oz, this foundation is a conundrum.  The price is quite affordable in my opinion and is highly rated.  The company is Cruelty-free, which I love! The company claims that this foundation will give me flawless photos without a filter.  I love anything that doesn’t make me look like a pile of wet laundry, so I was more than willing to try this product out and see how it goes.

On the other side of the issue, this foundation is offered with 20 shades.  If you are rocking a deeper skin tone, you will find this underwhelming.  I tried Cream Beige.  It was a decent match.  My first issue was the packaging.  Instead of being a pump dispenser or even a pour bottle, this foundation comes with a plastic paddle applicator.  Bacterial transfer concerns aside, glooping a foundation on my cheeks with a plastic paddle was somewhat unpleasant.

The color itself was an excellent match, good job Wet n’ Wild.  The downside, it covered nothing.  Layering the product did not increase the levels of coverage it just made my skin itch.  I could still see my dark spots, redness, and imperfections.  I feel this product would be good for a no makeup, makeup day.  Or for someone with perfect skin, who doesn’t require much to look good. wet1

I tried this product without setting it and setting it with powder.  Both application styles worked. The product looked fantastic in the areas where I didn’t need any extra help and underwhelming in the areas where I did.  This one just didn’t work for me, but I would love to hear any tips and techniques from those of you that did have a good experience with this product.
