Clarins Booster Energy

I picked this serum for $40 for 15ml of product.  That works out to $2.67 per ml of serum.  With that hefty price tag comes the hefty promises that this serum will invigorate tired skin.  Just mix a few drops in with moisturizer or with makeup or leave on mask. Apply and go.

The packaging is cute but, nothing to write home about.  The serum itself had no smell but, was incredibly runny.  It mixed in well with my regular moisturizer, and I didn’t notice any effect after application.  In fact, I saw zero change at all.  This is a pattern that occurred each and every use.  No difference, zero indication that it was on my skin or actually doing anything at all.  I found no change in luminosity of my skin, it was not brightened, lightened or happy.  It just was.

I ended up returning this to the store.  I don’t know if it was just not a match for my combination skin if I needed to apply more, it just didn’t work for my skin.  It did literally, nothing. I do look forward to trying out other Clarins products and see if I have any better luck.

  1. Oh no! What a shame it didn’t work for you! I have the other Booster, the blue one “Repair” and I really like it! I use it once a week during night and I wake up with super soft skin! I also use the self tanning one in the same series! Perhaps try that one instead for a glow? Smells amazing, only need 2 drops in your nightcream and you’ll get a healthy glow 🙂 none of that orangey weird colours! I promise 🙂

      • I do use a few product. I haven’t gotten around to try some of their new stuff but swear by cult classic Beauty Flash balm for example and their Instant light lip gloss. I have semi sensitive skin and i can be prone to breakouts as well!
