Clinique Happy Perfume

Every year, around the holidays I find myself driven to try new scents and revisit old favorites.  I admittedly have three scents that I always wear. Burberry, Sexxy-Shoo, and a Vanilla body oil.  These cover me from day to night with a soft gentleness in the middle.

Yet, the compulsion to repurchase: Chanel, Dior, and YSL gnaws at me. When I read the description for the Clinique Happy perfumes, I was instantly captivated.  The Happy line features multiple fragrances, each featuring a different scent profile from Citrus to Floral.

The draw of Bergamot is what captivated me to order.  This product retails for $69USD, and that will get you 3.4oz/100ml bottle.  This works out to cost of 0.69 cents per ml.  Which is actually quite a decent price when you factor in how long you will be able to get use out of the product.

The packaging is wonderfully minimalistic, and the scent to me was light and almost powdery.  For me, the notes rang strongly of grapefruit and flowers.  The smell remained vibrant throughout the day.

As described on the Ulta website:

A hint of citrus. A wealth of flowers. A mix of emotions. Clinique’s best – selling women’s fragrance interplays fresh, vibrant notes – ruby red grapefruit, bergamot – with soft, sensual ones – Hawaiian wedding flower, spring mimosa. Wear it and be happy.

Fragrance Notes:

  • Top: ruby red grapefruit
  • Heart: bergamot
  • Base: Hawaiian wedding flower, spring mimosa

Alcohol Denat., Clinique Happy Perfume (Parfum), Water / Aqua / Eau, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyl Alcohol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Citronellol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Linalool, Citral, Geraniol.

I enjoyed this scent enough to order the mini-pack for Christmas presents.  I think it would make an excellent gift for the scent lover who is looking for something a little bit different yet, versatile enough to wear every day.
