Soo’AE Acai Berry Revitalizing Sleeping Mask

If you have been following my page, you will know that I am a face mask junkie.  I picked this mask up at Walmart for $3.   This sleeping mask is designed to be applied over serum or moisturizer as the last step in a  nightly skin care routine.  The smell is very fruity and sweet yet light.

The product itself is a clear gel, glides on smoothly, however, I found it to remain tacky on my skin for quite a while.  Which isn’t something I was wanting in a product that I was putting on just before bed.  Just because I didn’t really want to have, product transfers to my pillowcase or my hair.

Boasting a bunch of great ingredients from Acai and Blueberry to Rosemary and Sage this gel claims to improve the appearance of dull, lackluster skin.  The addition of Niacinamide promises to reveal youthful, glowing skin.

I love the smell, found it to be very soothing, my skin was a bit irritated in the morning possibly from the addition of Lavender and Peppermint oils.  My skin tends to be very sensitive. However, I think this product would work well for non-sensitive skin types.

As described on the Soo’AE New York website:

A powerful blend of antioxidant rich Acai Berry, Bilberry and Goji Berry extracts as well as nutripeptides made of Hydrolyzed Rice Protein help neutralize free radicals to protect the skin from environmental damage. Coconut Oil, Evening Primrose Seed Oil, Mushroom Extract and Aloe Juice help soothe and calm the skin. Glycerin, Aloe Juice and other oils such as Cranberry, Grape and Linseed Oil provide a boost of hydration. Perfect for stressed skin or skin that is in need for some pampering.

Promotes Healthier Skin
Everyone wants a more youthful-looking and elastic skin. Acai berry has vitamins A, C, and E, which can help in the regeneration of your skin. Its unique properties help your skin glow and look younger.

Improves Your Blood Flow
Acai berry contains anthocyanin, a potent antioxidant that promotes proper circulation of the blood. The improved circulation results in feeling better and healthier. It is due to poor blood circulation that many diseases related to blood clotting, premature balding, and heart problems occur.

You may wish to try this product if:

  • You like Bergamot (which I love)
  • You like Aloe (soothing)
  • You like Witch Hazel (soothing)
  • You like Mushroom Extract
  • You like berry extracts such as Acai and Blueberry

You may wish to give this product a pass if:

  • You are seeking a Vegan company
  • You are allergic to essential oils such as Lavender and Peppermint

I found myself to be a bigger fan of the Soo’AE Donkey Milk Sleeping mask.  The gel consistency left my skin a bit tacky, and I had a bit of redness.  This is an excellent product at an excellent price. It just doesn’t seem to be the right product for my skin.

*** I previously reported that Soo’AE was being sold in mainland China.  After speaking with a company representative I must correct that statement.  The company does not sell in mainland China.  It is cruelty-free.  Conflicting reports are available on the web.  However, if these products are being sold in China it is being done through a reseller.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank MK, for bringing this to my attention.  I greatly appreciate it. ****

    1. Wow. Thank you,for the information! Everything I was able to find wouldn’t specify anything more than “often sold in China” could you send me a link so I can verify and update the materials?
