Clinique Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base

If you have been following my page, you know how I have been keen jelly bean on this Clinique product line.  I adore the Redness Solutions Cleanser and the Redness Solutions Protective Cream.  This is the third companion product that I tried in this line.   This primer retails for $24USD on the Clinique website giving you 40ml/1.35oz of product.  As much as I love Clinique products I feel that a color correcting primer from ELF would work just as well to tone down redness. clinique4

This product is thick and green.  Unlike the rest of the line, the primer is oily and heavy.  Yes, it color corrects redness.  However, it made my skin not hold makeup.  I found my skin to be very shiny with this product, and that my makeup application did not last as long.  I love the tube packaging and the built-in SPF 15 in the product.  I adore that it multitasks in that way.  But, it didn’t work for me.  It corrected redness, but I broke out using it.

I know that this product has 4 1/2 star reviews on the Clinique website, so maybe it is just me.  It was a bit of a letdown.

This product was a pass for me.  I thought the amount that you got was a bit disappointing for the price paid.  Yes, it color corrects, but it also breaks me out.  Join the conversation in the comments down below and tell me what your favorite face base is?  Follow on Twitter @everydaybeaut11.
