Covergirl TruNaked Peach Punch

I purchased this palette after my experience with the Covergirl TruNaked Roses palette.  The Roses palette was dusty and chalky with a lot of flyaways and little pigment.  To say I was disappointed would be massively understating the situation.  To be fair to the company, I picked up the TruNaked Sunsets and the TruNaked Peach Punch palettes.  I wanted to ensure that I was giving the products a fair shake before I judge the entire line.

The Peach Punch palette is full of beautiful metallic shades that really sparked my interest.  Color-wise this is a good dupe for some of Too Faced Sweet Peach shades.  I was surprised to find out that this palette was peach scented.  I picked this palette up for approximately $10 at Walmart.  That works out to $1.25 a pan.  So, price wise this is a great find.

The composition of this palette is AMAZING.  The shadows are soft and buttery, there is little fallout on the brush, and the pigment is pretty freaking amazing overall.  This palette is less pigmented than the Too Faced palette. So, you would need to build it up a bit more.  This set of shadows lasted easily 6 hours before fading where the Too Faced shadows will easily last 10 hours before wearing.   That said, if you want an affordable and easy palette that has some close shades, this is your baby.  This palette comes with a double tipped sponge applicator which is great to pack in some color, but not something that I used.   The palette has no mirror but, is small enough to pack into a purse or bag.

Personally, I had a strong aversion to the smell.  Why does eyeshadow need a smell? Is someone going to walk up and sniff my eyes?  It’s unnecessary. It made me cough a lot and made my eyes sting.  As a result, I found myself not reaching for this palette.  I have tried it three times, always with the same result.  I am not a fan of burning eyes just to look pretty.

Colors and how they performed:

Peachy Keen: Lovely peachy taupe with a hint of shimmer. Makes a great base shade.  Beautiful with little fallout.

Peachini: Gorgeous pinky-gold metallic color.  This applies best using a wet brush or fingertip.  I would love to be covered in this stunning color.  It is quite simply perfection.

Main Peach: Shimmery brown. Versatile color.  Works well with the average fallout.

Public Peach: #1 reason I wanted this palette.  A peachy matte with a hint of shimmer.  The pink shimmer in this pan is quite pretty.  It is effortless to take this color from a cute accent to a big orange eye in a hurry.  Medium levels of fallout.

Peach Sangria: Golden metallic, lovely lid color.  Only apply with a wet brush, sponge or fingertip.  Layer this color up for eyes that pop.

Georgia Dreams:
A darker brownish metallic. The lovely color applies with minimal fallout. Use a wet sponge or brush for best results.

Grilled Peach: My #2 pick of the palette,  I can not get enough of this beautiful golden metallic.  Apply it with a wet brush for the best result.

Raspberry Peach: A peachy brown shade with a small hint of shimmer. Applies well with a brush and even better with a sponge.  There were average amounts of fallout.

Final Thoughts:

I liked the palette.  The price was super affordable.  Is it the same quality as the Too Faced Peach palette? No.  Is it a full dupe? No.  If you are trying to get some shades that are close to the Too Faced palette, this will definitely get the job done.   I like the pigmentation, reasonable amounts of fallout and variety of colors in the palette.   I don’t like that it has parabens,  and I don’t like that the company tests on animals (they sell in China.) I absolutely detest that it makes my eyes burn and gives me a coughing fit every time I attempt to use it. This doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. It just means that it didn’t work well for me.

The palette itself is pretty decent.  If you are bothered by the downsides, then I would recommend that you go for the Too Faced Peach Palette. Let me know in the comments section what palette you would pick.  Find me on Twitter @everydaybeaut11 and chime in.
