I was lucky enough to receive this amazing product as part of a PR package from Garnier. Like almost all of the products I got to review, this one is really nice. Well, awesome actually. Amazing. I have a cold and this is literally the only thing on the planet that is soothing me right now.
This product is Vegan. Which I totally love. The bottle is made from 30% recycled plastic, totally love it. The base of the bottle is also recyclable.
This product is free of Parabens, Dyes and Silicones. Awesomeness. This entire skin care line has been a huge success in checking a lot of the boxes in terms of “What I look for in a product or company.”
As always, the only thing that I could wish for is a Cruelty Free status from the brand. I understand that Garnier’s parent company L’Oreal does not test on animals, but they DO sell product in China. Here is a link to the L’Oreal website explaining the corporate position on animal testing L’Oreal’s Official Position on Animal Testing so you can review it for yourself. I don’t know what to think. It doesn’t give a definitive list of products that have not been tested. Until I know, I am going to presume that they still have room to improve.
The facial mist itself is made from 99% naturally derived ingredients. Check out the Ingredients page to learn more about the different components of the product.
Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Phytate, Arginine, Propanediol, Caprylyl/Caprylyl Glucoside, Citric Acid, Salicylic Acid, Linalool, Parfum (Fragrance)
The bottle comes with 130ml of amazing product. This is a very lightly fragranced mist, personally I love the smell of roses. Although it says that it is suitable for sensitive skin, if you are sensitive to fragrance you may wish to give this a pass. The first spray was closer to fire hose than mist, but that calmed down after a couple of pumps of product.
The mist itself is pretty hydrating and soothing. I have been utilizing this spray to set my makeup while I wait for my Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Setting Spray to arrive. Word is that this is a perfect dupe for MAC Fix Plus.
All in all, for a price point of less than $10 you get a great smelling, soothing mist that can totally double as a makeup setting spray. Give it a try today, you won’t regret it.
